The Canine Cabana is on South Blue Marlin Way near Sandpiper Terrace in the quiet residential community of Old Nags Head Cove. Situated on a narrow stretch of Nags Head that is only ~ one mile wide from Albemarle Sound to Atlantic Ocean, it is within a few miles of restaurants, restaurants, and local attractions.
The Canine Cabana is pet-friendly with NO FEE for up to 2 dogs, a 4 ft fenced backyard and dog kennel/crate. There is 2487 sq ft of heated space and 1,356 sq ft of Weatherbest® decking. Beautiful landscaping provides a multi-generational family-friendly backyard containing a pirate ship playscape, shade, outside seating and hammock. This unique home is based on a universal design concept. It is VERY handicapped-friendly with many ADA features including barrier-free 48” corridors and 36” doorways throughout. All bathrooms and bedrooms are accessible including a 36” roll-in shower. The open kitchen has roll-out pantry and refrigerator shelves. A convenient ELEVATOR provides access from the ground level to all interior floors.
The 2nd level rear deck is equipped with a large hot tub, gas grill and plenty of deck furniture. Outside stairs from the 3rd level Screened Porch lead to the Crow’s Nest that has PANORAMIC Sound/Sunset views. There is a community pool, clubhouse & boat ramp available for a $25 weekly fee.
Rental of the Canine Cabana includes complimentary use of the nearby state-of the-art YMCA, which offers guests access to an indoor pool, outdoor water park, skate park, and fitness center! The entire YMCA facility is handicapped-accessible with few exceptions, such as the skate park. Complimentary use of the Outerbanks YMCA includes FREE daytime babysitting while at YMCA & FREE summer drop-off evening babysitting!
The home has central AC and heating with separate controls for the upper and lower levels, Digital Cable TV and high speed internet provided at no extra charge. A portable crib, high chair, and safety gates are provided. You can easily supervise your children playing on the pirate ship playground in the enclosed backyard.
